YWCA Home at Last

YWCA Pierce County transforms lives through safety, healing, and empowerment. To create a full continuum of services that meets that mission, it created 55 units of affordable housing on the north half of its current parking lot and replacing that parking on the south half of its property. This housing completes the vision of a holistic campus for the families it serves. With the addition of Home at Last, the campus connects its shelter facility with its historic main office, which is home to its support service programs.

The project includes 10 studios, 17 one-bedroom, 19 two-bedroom, and 9 three-bedroom units. Continuing its value of creating beautiful, healing spaces, this project brings together its historic past with its visionary future. The development is targeted toward survivors of domestic violence with 3,000 sq. ft. of YWCA counseling space.
