Nate is a 20-year veteran of the design and construction industry. After 10 years in the field, his passion for design led him to pursue his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from Penn State, where he developed a deep interest for public interest design. His work at SMR has combined his technical expertise with his commitment to creating enriching spaces for disadvantaged populations.
At SMR, he has worked on the implementation of unit standardization with the goal of maximizing efficiency and streamlining the design process. Nate takes a holistic approach to solving problems from both a constructability and architectural perspective, evaluating solutions to problems with consideration of down the line impacts.
