Tim Quinn, NCARB, Associate
After his undergraduate work, Tim gained practical knowledge of building construction early in his career while working as a carpenter and drafter for single-family homes in Colorado and Oregon. In the nearly 25 years since, he has designed numerous affordable housing projects, multi-family apartments, townhomes, community centers, schools, and mixed-use buildings. Tim enjoys the challenge of designing practical, affordable, and attractive buildings that inspire and enrich the experience of the people who live and work in them.
He is experienced in new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation, accessible and sustainable design, and building condition and capital needs assessments. Nearly all of Tim’s affordable housing work has included sustainable, cultural, and socially sensitive design. While adapting to a pandemic, inflation, new energy and building codes, and a rapidly changing planet, these goals remain central to his and SMR’s shared mission, to keep housing affordable, equitable, and delightful!
