SMR designed the renovation of Seattle Housing Authority's largest building, the 283-unit Jefferson Terrace apartment tower, with extensive mechanical, plumbing, and building system upgrades while residents remained in place.

Located at the edge of First Hill, overlooking Downtown Seattle, Jefferson Terrace is Seattle Housing Authority’s largest apartment building. SMR worked with SHA on a lobby addition and occupied rehabilitation of the 17-story concrete residential apartment building. Built in 1965, Jefferson Terrace contains 283 dwelling units, including a Harborview respite floor, community multi-purpose space, and building management offices. The renovation included replacement of sewer and domestic plumbing, mechanical/HVAC updates including a new Energy Recovery Ventilation system, new roof, and unit upgrades.
