Thea Bowman Apartments opened in November 2020 and is a project for Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington, providing 80 studio and one-bedroom units with amenity and support service spaces.

Named after Thea Bowman, a trailblazing Roman Catholic nun who was an advocate for cultural awareness and racial harmony, the apartments offer permanent supportive housing for veterans and homeless individuals with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues, and will provide 24/7 on-site staff. The building is four-stories of wood-framed construction with a slab on grade and surface parking.

Highlights

80 units of supportive housing, utilizing a housing first, harm reduction model for single adults moving out of homelessness; 24/7 staffing; and on-site case management services.
