Located between the Yesler Community Center and Yesler Hillclimb, Hoa Mai Gardens provides 111 one- to four-bedroom units of affordable family housing with breathtaking views of the Puget Sound, Cascade Mountains, and Mt. Rainier.

No fossil fuels were used in the building systems, which include: solar hot water pre-heat, rainwater harvesting, and gray water piping systems for toilet flushing. A pedestrian path on the west side of the project connects the site to the Yesler Terrace neighborhood’s network of walking and bicycling pathways.
