Program

Andrew’s Glen, located in Bellevue across from Newport High School, represents a groundbreaking community collaboration to address homelessness, with a particular focus on veterans. Built on land generously donated by St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church and developed by Imagine Housing, this supportive housing community became the first project of its kind on the Eastside of King County. Despite initial challenges, the project received crucial funding through the King County Veterans and Human Services Levy, demonstrating the community’s commitment to supporting those who have served. The apartments offer more than basic shelter, featuring attractive materials like stained concrete floors, wood cabinets, and black appliances, while common areas include laundry facilities, a computer room, and gathering spaces. Several ADA-compliant units ensure accessibility for all residents, and comprehensive support services help residents develop self-sufficiency skills. Andrew’s Glen stands as a powerful testament to what collaborative effort can achieve in providing stability and hope for formerly homeless individuals seeking to rebuild their lives.
