North View Apartments provides 36 homes of stable, dignified permanent supportive housing for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness, including many living with disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. Developed by Peninsula Behavioral Health, the four-story building includes seven studios and 25 one- and four two-bedroom homes, all affordable at 30–50% AMI, along with a community room and two rooftop terraces overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. Trauma-informed design principles shape the building throughout, while rooftop solar panels and ESDS Standards compliance reflect a lasting commitment to environmental performance. The community room ceiling features cross-laminated timber, SMR's first use of the material on a project. Construction is Type VA, fully sprinklered. North View broke ground in December 2024, backed by more than $12 million in committed funding from the State Housing Trust Fund, Behavioral Health Advisory, Clallam County, the Shreffler Family, and the City of Port Angeles.
