Program

Salish Landing features large one-, two-, and three-bedroom units for families and individuals, a spacious central courtyard with different-sized gathering spaces for use by a variety of residents, and a community room with a common kitchen that opens onto the courtyard. All of the former residents of the Lam Bow Apartments were contacted and invited to move into the newly opened Salish Landing. The Salish Landing Apartments project was a unique opportunity to improve a large parcel owned by the Seattle Housing Authority and increase the number of affordable homes within the Delridge neighborhood of Seattle. The project aims to create a sense of community and meaningful opportunities for social engagement and interaction among residents through thoughtful design. SMR worked closely with SHA and the project team throughout the entire design and construction process to ensure Salish Landing met the team’s shared goals of providing safe, accessible, and inclusive homes for the building’s tenants.
