Program

HopeSource moves people to self-sufficiency by providing access to education, employment, economic development, and vital services. HopeSource developed Spurling Court to create affordable housing opportunities in Ellensburg for clients who are homeless, have unstable social networks, are under or unemployed, and may suffer from mental illness and/or substance abuse. The development includes 49 apartments and townhomes (20 one-bedroom and 29 two-bedroom units). All of the townhouses are two-bedroom units. The 3.86-acre campus consists of multiple two-story buildings: a community multi-purpose building with offices and laundry, three townhouse buildings, and two apartment buildings. The site also features common courtyards, a playground and other recreational areas, and paved off-street parking areas. The project team incorporated a 101-kilowatt solar array into the project which offsets the energy costs for the development’s residents.
