Helping to reconnect High Point with the rest of West Seattle, Upton Flats will serve as a gateway to the neighborhood while also providing 104 market-rate residential units and over 10,000 sq. ft. of ground floor commercial space. In response to the 380′ long site, SMR was able to maintain an at-grade pedestrian connection by proposing two, four-story buildings over continuous below-grade parking separated by a pedestrian pathway. The design focuses amenity spaces, such as two roof decks, a central club room, exercise room, and entry lobbies along this pedestrian corridor to help activate the site into a vibrant extension of the High Point neighborhood.
